Our 5 favorite ways to spend the morning after an Orlando Informer Meetup

| |

No, it wasn’t a dream – you really spent the night before riding 25+ attractions with little to no waits and eating unlimited food at Universal Orlando Resort. But the fun doesn’t have to stop there!

The morning after the Orlando Informer Meetup opens up a whole new world of possibilities for how to spend your day. That’s why I’m here to share my top five favorite ways to spend this wonderful period of time. All five of these can be enjoyed alone, as a duo, or with a group – and there’s something for every mood.

1. Sleep in

Keep those sweet dreams coming. Whether you’re in a food coma from your 12th churro the night before or need to rest your legs after hustling through queues with little to no waits, you can’t go wrong spending a little extra time snoozing. The OI Meetup gives you access to both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure after hours, so you don’t need to feel guilty skipping the next-day alarm.

Plus, buying tickets to the Orlando Informer Meetup unlocks up to 30% discounts on Universal Orlando hotels – which, in turn, unlocks some seriously comfortable hotel beds that will make it super easy to sleep in.

2. Grab brunch

Stocked with a delightful combination of breakfast and lunch favorites both sweet and savory, I don’t need to sell you on the concept of brunch. But if you’ve yet to experience it at Universal Orlando Resort, you’re really missing out.

The morning after the OI Meetup is prime time to treat your taste buds and explore your brunch options around the resort. Making your way to the Islands Dining Room for French toast with caramelized banana and cinnamon butter is the perfect excuse to check out Loews Royal Pacific Resort (or vice versa)! The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen over at Universal CityWalk serves enhanced versions of all your brunch favorites. And if you’ll be spending the day in-park, we recommend splitting the Cheese Platter for 2 at TODAY Cafe.

3. Lounge poolside

It took me a minute to write this blurb, because every time I so much as thought about relaxing at a Universal Orlando hotel pool, I got lost in a peaceful trance. Soak up the sun and all of the memories you made at the Orlando Informer Meetup the night before when you relax poolside at your resort.

Rent a cabana to lounge poolside at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, or coast through the surfboard-shaped pool at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites. Each Universal Orlando hotel is home to at least one atmospheric and beyond-appealing pool to enjoy as a guest.

4. Visit Universal CityWalk

You can’t go wrong with a trip to CityWalk for a bit of shopping and snacking. Snag any souvenirs you regret not picking up the night before at the Universal Studios Store, stop by Jimmy Buffett’s® Margaritaville® for, well, a margarita, and – most importantly – indulge in a dessert.

Unsurprisingly, given its name, The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen serves a sweet selection of milkshakes and other confections. Looking for a dessert you can disguise as breakfast? If you didn’t get quite enough unlimited Cinnabon® at the OI Meetup the night before, get one last fix of that ooey-gooey goodness at the CityWalk location.

5. Keep making memories

This one’s a given – and it also might just be my fancy way of saying “take more photos” – but you’ll thank me later. Universal Orlando Resort is full of dreamy aesthetics: there’s the vibrant retro style of Cabana Bay Beach Resort, the music memorabilia of Hard Rock Hotel, and the iconic movie backdrops of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

All this is to say – the morning after the Orlando Informer Meetup is a great time to round out that photo album you’ll be sharing across all of your social-media platforms. Dress up to take a new profile pic, or stick behind the camera and capture your favorite sights. And I mean it – make more memories! That’s what your OI Meetup weekend is all about.

Bonus: turn the best night ever into the best weekend ever

If you attended night one of the Orlando Informer Meetup, consider coming back for the second night! Unless, of course, you came on the second night – in which case, you know what to do for the next time. (Note: this upgrade is only available while two-night tickets are still available. You can email us at meetup@orlandoinformer.com to upgrade.)

If you decide to join us for after-hours excitement, you’ll save up to $59 (that’s over 30%!) off your second night. If you’re not already craving another dose of adrenaline from your favorite attractions, you’ll be tempted just to go back with an empty stomach for all of that unlimited food.
